The ashrama was started in 2000 in the bungalow in which Swami Vivekananda had stayed for a few days in 1892.
Activities :
- Morning and evening bhajans, and celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, and Swami Vivekananda.
- Spiritual retreats, lectures and meditation classes.
- Religious meetings with bhajans and discourses in nearby areas.
- Organising personality development programmes for students.
- Welfare work by way of providing scholarships and pecuniary help to poor and meritorious students.
