The centre was started in 1957 and was made a branch of the Mission in 1999.
Activities:
- A higher secondary school, with computer training facility. It had 1040 students this year.
- A charitable homoeopathic dispensary, which treated 692 cases (new 398) this year.
- Publication of a Hindi monthly Ashramavani (23rd year).
- Religious activities like daily worship, weekly classes, and occasional lectures; celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other spiritual luminaries.
- A monastic retreat centre (Ramakrishna Mission Sadhana Kutir) at Omkareshwar, Dt. Khandwa-450 554.
