The centre was started in 1979 for providing free medical facilities to the tribal population of Arunachal Pradesh.
Activities :
- A hospital with 191 beds, 3 well-equipped operation theatres, and medical, surgical, gynaecology, paediatric, physiotherapy, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ultrasonography, laboratory, dental, artificial limb fitting, and other sections. This year, it treated 8323 cases.
- An outpatient allopathic-cum-homoeopathic dispensary, which treated 1,88,013 cases (new 67,386) this year.
- A school of nursing with 54 trainees.
