The Home was started in 1900 and made a branch of the Mission in 1902.
Activities :
- 1. A general hospital with 230 beds (free beds 19%), having an operation-theatre-cum-surgical-block; 6022 admissions this year.
- 2. An outpatient dispensary with eye, ENT, dental, paediatric, gynaecology, neurology, physiotherapy and orthopaedic departments and a homoeopathic section. 2,27,959 cases (new 89,867) were treated this year. The laboratory, X-ray, ECG and USG cases this year were 73,950, 11,453, 1494 and 2904 respectively.
- 3. A mobile dispensary which treated 8376 cases this year.
- 4. Two old-age homes, one with 26 men and the other with 29 women.
- 5. A nurses' hostel.
- 6. Welfare work : This year the centre distributed Rs. 5,52,340/- as pecuniary help to needy persons, and clothes and medicines worth Rs. 20,00,000/- to the poor and afflicted.
